Sahara House is the third care home opened by Sahara Homes Limited. It actually forms two houses, adjacent to each other but designed for different service users. House One is a specially adapted, 10-bedroom house for service users with learning disabilities who may also have physical disabilities, and is adapted for wheelchair users. House Two is a nine-bedroom house for service users with learning disabilities and complex behaviours.

Both homes have great community atmospheres with service users living together as well as retaining their own independence and personal space.

Sahara House’s location near Valentines Park and Ilford town centre, combined with the comfortable and homely furnishings ensure that our service users have both independence and choice - integrating with their local community as much as they wish.

House One
House one is specially adapted and has 10 spacious bedrooms, each with en-suite bathroom facilities to ensure all of the service users have the utmost privacy and comfort in addition to living in shared accommodation. Bedrooms are located across the ground and first floor in clusters of two or three bedrooms close together.

A lift provides access to all parts of the house. Bedrooms are spacious and six of them are suitable for wheelchair users, while the other four are specially equipped for those who have mobility problems. All of the bedrooms are fully furnished but flexible so that service users can personalise their own living areas.

House Two
House two has nine bedrooms for service users with learning disabilities. All bedrooms are spacious with en-suite facilities.

Showers, toilets and washbasins are spread across the ground and first floors in clusters of two and three bedrooms close together.

All bedrooms are accessed via the main hallway staircase. The rooms are fully furnished but also flexible to encourage service users to personalise their own living areas.
